Dear Printer Company,
I’m looking for a printer that can last through my four years of high school. I use printers a lot for homework, and sometimes other recreational things (probably need to print more than 5000pgs as an approximate). I want a printer that is: colored printing, good quality, affordable, and able to scan. Don’t worry about mobility, because I plan to put the printer at one single spot permanently. Also, fax and networking aren’t a priority for my expectations, so it doesn’t have to have those functions. I hope that you can provide me some recommendations for good printers, and ASAP please.
P.S. An HP brand would be good, and I'm the only one that’s going to use this printer.
Thank You.

Dear Desperate Gr.9 student looking for a good printer,
Above are two printers I’ve found that I think are best suited for you. The prices are very similar and both products are worth your money. The life span for both printers will last more than four years, I can guarantee that. The sizes are pretty big, but it’s perfect since you want to put it in one spot. For the first printer, it’s a little cheaper overall, but you’ll be spending a lot of trips going to stores to buy ink since they run out pretty quickly according to your mass printing. The second printer is more expensive, but one single toner cartridge of each color will last you four years without worrying. Although the downside of the laser printer is that it doesn't provide you much to start with when you purchase it, unlike the first printer.
The printer I’d recommend is the laser printer. I feel that convenience is the key. If you buy a printer that’s just a little more cheaper (the inkjet printer), you’ll be wasting a lot of time going to buy ink cartridges, whereas the toner in laser printers are around 6 times the ink cartridge size. Everything on the chart can be purchased at Staples (in stores and online), so decide fast, because they’re on sale right now!
